چکیده

محمّد العدوی، پزشک و نویسندۀ مصری است که در آثار خود، دغدغۀ ایجاد نوعی گفتگوی بین فرهنگی/ بین مذاهب را در جهان اسلام دارد. او یکی از مشهورترین آثارش را به زندگی شخصیت برجستۀ علمی و فلسفی ایران و اسلام، شیخ الرئیس ابوعلی‌سینا اختصاص داده است. رمان الرئیس سفری است که راوی/قهرمان آن با گذر از مرزهای زمان و مکان، می‌کوشد شخصیت ابن‌سینا را در گسترۀ فرهنگ ایرانی و اسلامی، با نگاهی روزآمد و از دریچۀ چشم یک پزشک جوان مصری، به مخاطبان، عرضه نماید. پژوهش حاضر به روش توصیفی تحلیلی، تلاشی است جهت بررسی ذهنیت اسطوره‌ای راوی/قهرمان رمان الرئیس و می‌کوشد با تمرکز بر آراء فیلسوف و منتقد برجستۀ کانادایی نورتروپ فرای، مهم‌ترین جنبه‌های این ذهنیت اسطوره‌ای را مورد واکاوی قرار دهد. نتایج تحقیق، مؤیّد آن است که العدوی در رمان الرئیس، کوشیده است بازتعریفی اسطوره‌گونه از مکان‌ها، شخصیت‌ها، تاریخ و رویدادهای مرتبط با زندگی ابن‌سینا ارائه دهد و در این مسیر، مرزهای میان روزگاران گذشته و حال را در هم درآمیخته است و تصویری سیّال از ماجراهای مرتبط با قهرمان دور (ابن‌سینا) و قهرمان نزدیک (محمّد) فراهم آورده است.

چکیده English

Muhammad al-Adawi, an Egyptian physician and writer, is known for his concern with fostering intercultural and interfaith dialogue within the Islamic world. One of his most notable works focuses on the life of Avicenna, the eminent scientific and philosophical figure of Iran and Islam. In his novel Al-Raees, the narrator/hero embarks on a journey that transcends the boundaries of time and space, seeking to present Avicenna’s character within the context of Iranian and Islamic culture, from a contemporary perspective and through the eyes of a young Egyptian physician. This study employs a descriptive-analytical method to examine the mythical mindset of the narrator/hero in Al-Raees. Drawing on the perspectives of Canadian philosopher and critic Northrop Frye, it explores the key dimensions of this mythical mentality. The findings suggest that al-Adawi, in Al-Raees, offers a mythical redefinition of places, characters, history, and events associated with the life of Ibn Sina. In doing so, he merges past and present, creating a fluid narrative that intertwines the adventures of the distant hero (Avicenna) with those of the near hero (Muhammad).
